7 Years and a Stopmo

PHDM turned 7 today!

Wowsers, that feels like a pretty good achievement to be still kicking after that long. Indie for the win! Soooo the recovery is going well (now). Had a few trips to the hospital to rule out scary things and get some extra help. We’re doing okay and having more days that are good than exhausted. We finally got back in the stopmo studio and did our first big attempt at animating our logo.

It was shot in reverse order over about 5 hours. Everything was guesswork and figuring it out on the fly. Shot in 24fps but with double takes also known as shooting on twos (where you take 2 pictures for every movement, Aardman animation style). 140+ pictures later and pretty happy with how it turned out!

Its just the start of the learning journey with animation and excited about moving forward and growing with it. Besides that, we’re working on the ReAssembled LP for next year with finally releasing all the remixes our friends have done for PHDM and setting up 4 new EP releases of music we’ve written over the last few years that we haven’t put out yet. Our 2026 creative goals are to release a stopmotion music video in the first half of the year and chapter 3 of Ingenue in the second.

Thank you all so much for the well wishes, love and support. Its made all of this possible and we’re super excited for what we’re building and heading into next year. The recovery is still a long process and we’ll be working and creating as the body allows but hopefully by this time next year we’ll be able to do some music performances with higher energy and mobility.
