Craig Mathews

Craig is the Creative Director at ENTOPTIC MEDIA, among many other freelance roles. He is a qualified and experienced Event Manager, Graphic Designer, Digital Media Producer and Visual Artist, with a demonstrated history of working in the entertainment and music industry for over 30 years – (starting his career as a DJ in the early 80’s at the age of 12).

Craig is a strong, creative, event industry professional, with a smorgasbord of skill sets. He is a natural leader & mediator, develops logical solutions as required, and strives to develop community relationships beyond just the job at hand. His multitude of skills include Project & Production Management, on-site Event Logistics (Site, Safety, Security, Operations), A&R Management, Print & Web Design, Videography & Photography, VFX, Animation, Video Editing, Image Compositing, Publicity, Social Media, Leadership, Integrated Marketing and IT Solutions.

Craig’s qualifications include Diplomas in Graphic Design, Publishing and Event Management, Certificates in Events, Public Safety (Rescue), Emergency Management (SAR [Search and Rescue] – Air/Sea/Land), Security Operations (Crowd Control [expired] & logistics) and a Safety of Mass Gatherings Certification (EMS). Craig also studied CompTIA A+ but remains uncertified, and is now midway through studying his Bachelor in Animation/VFX and will be pursuing his Masters degree in Animation/VFX.

As ENTOPTIC (VJ), Craig is a very active and in-demand artist, performing live at a large number of festivals, events and corporate engagements Australia-wide, and is often booked to perform at many of Australia’s best Music, Arts & Lifestyle Festivals, alongside many major international and Australian headline artists. His meticulously layered visual shows are an orgy of intelligently blended motion loops combined with unique and often quirky custom content and live generative animation, to ensure the viewer is sufficiently mesmerized.
